Lindsay joined Okanagan wine club mid 2020 just when the pandemic was starting to get real. She works with our winery partners to discover the hidden gems, cool stories and make sure the wine packs show off the best of the winery to you! Recently, when OWC expanded to digital wine education, she’s been wrangling winemakers, educators and speakers to bring fun course content to your living room.
Lindsay’s spent her whole career somewhere in the wine industry, but fell off the wagon for a bit when she and her husband won a lottery license to open up Vancouver’s first food cart ! ? ! She achieved her ISG Diploma in 2008 and has plied her trade ever since as a sommelier, a retail wine buyer and now wine club curator. She lives in the Okanagan with her husband, 10 year old and 2 crazy dogs.
Emily is the mastermind behind shipping logistics and customer support at OWC. It’s basically the toughest task in the group and she dedicates herself to making sure your precious wine packs arrive safe and sound and as soon as possible!
Since she moved to the Okanagan in 2018, Emily has immersed herself in the wine industry. She’s picked icewine for Sperling Vineyards, run the hospitality program at Tantalus, completed a harvest at Nichol Vineyard, all while achieving a Certificate in Viticulture from Okanagan College.
Emily brings a unique and coveted perspective with her active hands-on experience producing the stuff that we all love to love and learn about. Her experience in film means she is indispensable at marrying her wine experience with story telling!
PS: You may have seen her in Snakes On A Plane!!
Katherine McEachnie has travelled around the world studying wine and viticulture and has realized her dream of owning a vineyard right here in the Okanagan Valley. She joined the crew of OWC in 2021, bringing her unique zest for wine and contagious enthusiasm for education to club members! Katherine creates and delivers OWC’s first digital education series, introducing you to wine, one grape variety at a time!
Katherine’s wine journey is so cool and varied. She a wine educator, wine judge, and wine writer. She has worked as a Liquor Inspector and Licensing Specialist on the regulatory side of government and has studied wine extensively earning many notable achievements such as: WSET Diploma, Champagne Master, French Wine Scholar, Certified Specialist of Wine with the Society of Wine Educators and is a graduate of the Viticulture Program at Okanagan College.
Sarah and Kohl
Okanagan Wine Club would not be the same without these two, amazing videographers! Sarah has been behind the lens with OWC for more than 6 years and has captured moments with almost every winery in the Okanagan and Similkameen (and Lillooet). When she’s not filming or editing for the wine club, she’s the lead at Dynamic Cyclist – helping people stretch their way to victory. She loves cross country skiing, running, mountain biking and everything outdoors.
Kohl’s creativity shines in OWC’s digital classes as he works with the team to pull out the best and most interesting information for the wine education you’re after! He’s a Penticton local and a film graduate from UBC Okanagan. Given how much time he spends working with OWC’s online classes, he might know more about wine than all of us combined!
